Valerie Adams

 Valerie Adams was born on 6 October,1984,in Rotorua.Valerie Adams attended her first Olympics games in Athens in 2004,just a month after being operated on for appendicitis. In 2012 Valerie Adams competed at the London Olympic and won the gold medal in the shot put with a throw of 20.70m.Valerie Adams threw 19.20m,becoming the first new Zealand woman to break the 19 metre barrier.two years later in 2001 Valerie Adams won gold at the world youth championship in hungary.
