How high can I jump?

Room8 has been practising high jump for athletics. You had to run up and do the sicssor kick over the metal bar.If we were really good Mrs Hood  put the metal bar a little bit higher. It was hard for me because the bar was high so I felt like I couldn't do it, but I kept on trying and I jumped over the bar. My goal for high jump is to run faster to get the speed so I can jump higher.

All Blacks competition

In room 8 we entered a competition to dress up like we where in the stadium watching the All Blacks vs Argentina .We painted our faces black and white and we dressed up in black clothes .If we won a all black will come into our class room and talk about rugby and the All Blacks. Today we got the photo back and it looked AMAZING. We got some good news that we had to take another photo because they want more photos of us. I hope we win. My  favourite All Back is Richie I haven't been to the staduim and whatched them but one day I will.I only watch rugby on tv .Try and find me in this photo.[hint- I am wearing a blue scarf]

Buddy reading

Room8 does buddy reading every Friday. Our buddy reading class is room 4. My buddy is Taylor.  I help Taylor read by sounding out the words and encourage her to read more. I sometimes ask her questions about the story like how many characters are in the story, what are the characte'rs names and what happened in the story. I enjoy buddy reading because I like helping room 4 read.

Gymsport competition

The gym sport that I was involved in was hip hop .We practised 14-15 weeks on Thursday mornings in room 9. My hip hop teacher was Mrs Head. My hip hop group entered a competition at the Hamiltion gymnastics gymsport. My hip hop group's name was called the inspiaring hip hoppers. On Wednesday the 28th we went to the competition .We had a warm up by jumping up and down then we had a practise without the music . Our song was called Youngbloodz I'm a shine step up 2.  The hip hop fluro mob came 1st then the inspiring hip hoppers came 2nd and the funky hip hoppers came 3rd..My group worked very hard to come 2nd place.

The peasent prince

In room 8 we read a story called the Peasent Prince .It is about a boy called Li Cuxin. He is very poor .He would always fly a kite and make wishes .He grew up to become the best dancer in China and America. He became very  famous. Room 8 made some kites and they had to have something about China. My kite has the Chinese flag on it and Chinese symbols .Then we made three wishes, a personal wish , a family wish and  a world wish.
