Swimming Sports

On Wednesday the 5th of March the senior syndicate went to Te Rapa pools called Waterworld for swimming sports.  When we first got there I was nervous and excited at the same time. What I enjoyed the most was freestyle widths because I came 2nd in backstroke, it was fun even when I came 5th in backstroke.   Next year for swimming sports I am going to do lengths because I think it will help me swim better.

My 2014 Goals

My goal for 2014 is to learn my 6 , 7 , 8 and 9 times tables off by heart. I  will achive this goal by practising them at home.

My second goal is to be a house captain because I think it is really good for me to try something new.

My third goal is to join a sport team. A sport that I am interested is netball.

My Summer Holiday

In the holidays I went to Raglan beach with my family. It took us 1 hour and a half to get there. When my family and I first got there we had a pinic. We had juciey apples , rice and curry. Later we changed into our togs and went for a swim. The water was salty soon we made played with the sand and it was fun. After we went to the rock pools and I saw my cousins. My cousins and I played together and the adults tryed to get crabs. Soon we went home my mum and dad caught five crabs. Guess what I had for dinner that day? Crabs.

Swimsafe

Room8 have been going to Water World. I am very good at backstroke and freestyle breathing. What I am working on is dolphin dive. On Thursday we went into the 25metre pool to learn how to be safe in the water.

  

My favourite

My favourite athletics event was 60 meter sprint , I was good at it because I came second and I achieved my goal.

My favourite science experiment was making sherbet because I got to taste the sherbet and see if it was sour or sweet. It was a little bit of both.

My favourite animal fact is that the panda used to  be a carnivore but now it is a herbivore.

My favourite subject is reading because my group is reading a chapter book called the lemonade war.
